The Book structures the theoreticalsystem of vehicle’s man-machine interaction safety and sets forth the methodsfor driver assistance. The major contents include: introduction, drivingintrinsic safety methodology, analysis of acceleration and decelerationbehavior, analysis of lane-changing behavior, analysis of digital drivingbehavior, driving cognitive behavior and safety control strategy for urbanintersection, ecological function allocations for driver-vehicle interface, vehicle operation safety based on driver cognitive behavior, and quantifiedrisk assessment and safety control of traffic behavior.
TheBook can be used as reading material for engineering professionals andresearchers of such professional fields as communications and transportengineering, vehicle engineering, intelligent transportation, automobileservice engineering and system engineering, as well as the reference book forupper-year undergraduates, postgraduates and teachers of the field and relevantfields.Wang Hongwu, professor anddoctoral supervisor of Beijing Institute of Technology, engaged in researchmainly on: traffic behavior and safety, vehicle’s man-machine interactiondriving assistance, and green and intelligent traffic system. He hassuccessively taken charge of more than twenty research projects, including 6supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and 3 under thenational cooperative program. His research has been granted with support fromJapan Society for the Promotion of Science, Alexander von Humboldt-Foundationand Henry Fok Ying-tung Education Foundation.
