The book includes five parts, mainly covering: introduction, rubber-asphalt mixtures, application of rubber asphalt in hot-mix asphalt mixture pavement, application of rubber asphalt in sprayed coating and new technologies of rubber asphalt. The book can be used by road design, construction and research personnel as well as reference for postgraduates of relevant majors in studying.

Sun Zuwang, male, born in March, 1933, graduated from Jiaotong University in 1955, assigned in 1956 to former Soviet Moscow Automobile & Highway College for master program, and grated with Soviet Union Associate Doctor in technology and science 1960; returning 1961 and teaching at Xi’an Highway College (now as Chang’an University), successively as Director of Teaching Section, Director of Central Lab, Director of Research Institute, Vice President, Party Committee Secretary and President; elected as delegate to 14^th CPC Congress in 1992. Sun Zuwang has made great achievements in scientific research over the years, winning the Second Prize of Shaanxi Provincial Important Scientific and Technological Achievement Award in 1978, First-prize of Shaanxi Provincial Education Commission Scientific Research Achievement Award in 1984, Third-prize of National Machinery Committee Science and Technology Advance Award, Third-prize of MOT Science and Technology Advance Award in 1991, Shandong Provincial Department of Transport Science and Technology Advance Award in 2001, and publishing a series of academic papers and works; Sun Zuwang is in possession of four patents for utility model and two patents of invention.
