MaKejian, male, born in 1933, structural engineering expert and academician ofChinese Academy of Engineering since 2007; chairman of the Structure Committeeof Guizhou Civil Engineering Society and now as member of Pre-stressedStructure Branch of China Iron and Steel Association, senior member of theSpace Structure Committee of China Civil Engineering Society, associate editorof “Spatial Structures”, and director ofSpace Structure Research Center of Guizhou University; one of the firstprovincial experts, Investigation and Design Masters and Honorary Core Expertsof Guizhou. He has been engaged in structural engineering teaching, researchand engineering practice for 50 years, while being the author of ourmonographs, the editor-in-charge or co-editor of three technical specificationsfor new-type structure system, and also the writer of over 100 published papers,making breakthrough achievements and progress in IV RCC spatial grid structuresystem and new-type pre-stressed steel grid structure system, which have beenapplied in engineering practices of over 1 million square meter, saving a fundof nearly RMB 100 million.
